About Us

Custom furniture and one of a kind pieces have always been my love to produce.  I have had 3 shops in La Center, Ky. through the years.  I was located on Highway 60 across from the state road department with my first shop for several years, then I moved to Broadway in La Center across from Whipple’s Market where I stayed again for a few years doing work for folks from all over western Ky., including Paducah, Cadiz, Mayfield, Bardwell, Benton, Princeton, Murray, Smithland, and others.  I also completed custom pieces for people in Southern Ill. including Metropolis, Goreville, Golconda, Brookport, and others.  I have sent work to clients all over the United States.  Most recently I have shipped custom ink pens and one of a kind turned bowls to several different states.    I love to work with burls, crotches, spalts, and any crazily configured woods along with many of the wildly figured imports such as purple heart, bubinga, zebrawood, tulipwood, teak, ebony, blackheart sassafras, leopardwood, mahogany, black limba, and others.

I seldom ever build “cabinets” as they all mostly just ripping plywood and making repetitive doors to go on them—my desire is to build something unique with each piece that leaves my shop.  I have recently combined with another artist to produce some unusual pieces of furniture using imported woods and imported horns from overseas.  Through the years I’ve completed work as small as foot stools—to as large as a roll top desk.  In the recent past I completed 14 pieces of custom designed mahogany furniture for a local Church, a 12’ bar for a hunting lodge, and a 12’ long cypress table with a disappearing 5th. leg.

I’m always happy to discuss your upcoming projects and help you go from “Concept to Completion!!"
